Service Description
The SSI Extended Range Foundations program is ideal for divers who want to refine their skills and improve control in the water before progressing further into technical diving. It is designed as a focused skills workshop, helping you build a strong foundation in buoyancy, trim, propulsion, and equipment handling. Who it’s for: Recreational divers who want to refine their technique and improve precision, as well as aspiring technical divers looking to build a strong foundational skill set before progressing to more advanced training. What you’ll learn: True mastery of horizontal trim Advanced propulsion techniques (frog kicking, helicopter turns, back kicking) Valve drills Buoyancy control in a technical equipment configuration. The Environment: Structured confined-water training in a controlled, low-stress setting at depths of less than 12 metres, designed to support precision and skill development. Course pre-requisites: Minimum Age: 18 Minimum certification: Advanced Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox 40%, and 24 logged dives. Depth Limit: Maintained within your current certification level. What you earn: SSI Extended Range Foundations Recognition Card. Course includes 4 confined water sessions. Ultimate flexibility: carry out your technical training at home in the UK, or combine your dive training with a dream holiday and complete it in Cyprus or Egypt.
